Franck Lecocq
Deputy Director of the Laboratory of Forestry Economics, Nancy, France.
"The Clean Development Mechanism: Status and Prospects, Focusing on Forestry Projects"


Franck Lecocq will speaking to us from France where he is deputy director of the Laboratory of Forestry Economics, a joint research venture between the French Institute for Environmental and Forestry Studies (ENGREF) and the French Institute for Agronomical Research (INRA), based in Nancy, France.

Prior to joining the LEF in 2005, Franck worked as an economist with the Development Economics Research Group and the Carbon Finance Business of the World Bank. His research focuses on the economics of climate mitigation and on the emerging carbon markets. He is also working on the economics of the climate/forest interface. Franck has contributed to various expertise on climate mitigation, and he is a lead author of the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report. He holds a PhD in economics from ENGREF.

Yale Forest Forum Lunches take place on Thursdays at noon, in Marsh Hall, 360 Prospect St. We provide the food, and bring in speakers from a wide range of organizations and perspectives, including government, NGOs and business, working at scales from local to international.
